1982
The concept of the mobile stage is born.
1987
Foundation of Stageline by Yvan Miron.
1990 - 1991
Reorientation of the firm’s mission towards R&D, manufacturing, sales and rental of mobile stages.
Lise Morissat, an experienced manager in the manufacturing sector and R&D consultant, joins the firm.
1991
Stageline takes 4th prize at the International New Technology Grand Prix, awarded by Production 91, for its mobile-stage concept.
1991 - 1992
Design of stage no. 4, a versatile two-position unit, as well as design of the SL and SAM models.
1992
Stageline mobile stages are used at Parc des Îles and at Berri Square as part of the celebrations marking the 350th anniversary of the founding of Montreal.
1993
Stageline builds the first SAM and SL models. Units are sold to a European customer and to the producer of Lollapalooza, one of the most popular summertime tours in the U.S. of the last 10 years.
Stageline now has its own new plant in L’Assomption, Quebec, and expanded production capacity.
Non-Booth Design Award at Lighting Dimensions International, Nevada.
1994
Lise Morissat becomes a shareholder and chief operating officer.
Marius Chouinard, technical director, becomes a shareholder.
1994 - 1995
Official launch of large-scale production of the new SL and SAM models.
Exceptional years of technological development and product performance.
1996
Expansion of the rental fleet, which now numbers more than 12 mobile stages.
1997
Drafting of international-financing programs.
Design and manufacture of the first Mobile Space prototype.
Prix Hommage from the Société des fêtes et Festivals du Québec.
1998
Touring Innovation of the Year Reader’s Poll Award, USA.
1998 –1999
Creation of the Stageline® Network, with partnerships in 20 countries.
Recognition by the industry of the Stageline® SAM 550 stage:
1998 Entertainment Technology Awards for the best stage innovation with the Stageline SAM model with Star Hire (England).
1999 Gold Award at Live! Awards for best stage innovation with the Stageline SAM model with Star Hire (England)
1999–2000
ISO 9001 certification.
Accelerated growth and development: launch of the SL 100 model and expansion of office area.
2001
Close to 125 stages designed and built by Stageline® play host to nearly 5,000 events annually.
The firm at this point has almost 100 fulltime employees and a rental fleet of 40 stages.
Launch of the SL 100 model.
Official launch of the Mobile Space unit for the Microsoft US tour.
2002
Launch of the first Promobile prototype.
2003–2004
Rental activities are transferred to a new entity, MSR Mobile Stage Rentals, which becomes the biggest stage and promotional-unit renter in North America.
Launch of the new generation of the SL 250 model.
2005
Stageline has built its 250th mobile stage and is present in over 20 countries.
2006
Stageline receives the 2006 MercadOr Award, for excellence in diversifying its foreign markets, as an export leader and for its role in the economic development of the Lanaudière region of Quebec.
2006 Prix économique Raoul Charrette, awarded by la Société nationale des Québécoise et Québécois de Lanaudière.
Startup of the construction project for a new “green factory” in L’Assomption.
2007
Stageline reaches the 350 mark in units manufactured.
Launch of the Stageline SAM 555, the most imposing hydraulically operated portable stage ever built.
2008
End of work and occupation of the new “green factory,” an industrial building currently ranked second in Canada in terms of energy-efficiency performance.
The 400-unit mark is passed.
