Leed Certification
About the new high-energy-efficiency building
- A pioneer in the mobile-stage industry, Stageline Group is now playing the same role with regard to the environment, outfitting itself with new industrial installations that comply with the LEED® certification norms (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design) laid down by the Canadian Green Building Council.
- Producing energy savings of 69.2%, the Stageline Group building ranks first in Quebec and second in Canada in energy efficiency.
- The Stageline Group construction project has resulted in the development of concepts that contribute to the advancement of environmental technologies.
- Although construction of an energy-efficient building may entail additional costs of 20 to 25% compared to a traditional construction, Stageline Group aims to prove that it is possible for a small to medium-size business to build in an eco-responsible way within the limits of a realistic budget. Management estimates that it will be making a profit on its investment in no more than five years thanks to the savings realized on energy costs.
- Above and beyond its environmental performance, the new building has the advantage of substantially increasing production capacity, of reducing delivery lead time and of developing larger-scale turnkey projects.
- The new installations at L’Assomption house the manufacturing and maintenance activities as well as those involving administration of the Mobile Stage Rentals park.
